Biography
Paris L. Miles is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) serving the Tomball area. Paris received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University. From there she was called to Dallas Theological Seminary where she studied both counseling and theology and obtained a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling (MABC). While in graduate school, Paris worked for a women’s non-profit organization where she received a scholarship and a part-time staff position. She would share her testimony with other women to show how God turns pain into purpose, facilitate women’s groups, organize events and do fundraisers. Paris began her counseling career with STCH Ministries, a children’s home that partners with churches where she had the opportunity to put her passion for the playroom into practice. She was eventually led to Clearhope Counseling and Wellness Center where she is currently practicing community and school-based counseling in her office at our Tomball location and in the school districts. Paris enjoys working with children, adolescents, teenagers, parents and young adults. She integrates her counseling approach to meet her client’s needs and believes that everyone has inside of themselves what is necessary for healing.
Her preferred approaches to therapy include Adlerian Play Therapy techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, and Exposure Response Prevention. Building trust in the therapeutic relationship is her first priority and she puts effort into making counseling a comfortable and safe experience, even for resistant clients. Some of her training includes being in Phase 2 of working towards her Registered Play Therapy (RPT) license, certified in Prepare/Enrich and being a Divorce Care for Kids Safekeeper. Paris loves learning new skills and is constantly growing in her practice.
Paris grew up in Katy, Texas, and loves novelty experiences. She would prefer to spend her weekend going to the cat café, enjoying an escape room, watching Disney movies or spending time with family and friends. She is married to her husband, Kyler, and together they have two cats named Knives and Katana.
