Biography
Hello, I’m NaTasha McCarty, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, under the
supervision of Dr. Danielle Young, LPC-S, PSYD, NCC, LCDC-I as well as a certified Professional School Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Prairie View A&M University. I later pursued my passion for supporting students and families by obtaining a Master of Science in School Counseling from the University of
Houston-Clear Lake, followed by additional coursework in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Houston-Victoria.
Before stepping into my current role, I spent 14 years in the field of education, serving as an
educator, mentor, sports coach, and school counselor. These experiences, combined with my clinical training, have shaped my counseling journey and informed my therapeutic approach.
They’ve allowed me to connect deeply with diverse individuals and families, and have provided me with a well-rounded perspective that I bring into every session.
I have had the privilege of supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including low
self-esteem, relationship building, bullying, academic struggles, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, grief, depression, major life transitions, and anxiety. I use an integrative approach tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Psychoeducational strategies.
My passion lies in working with school-aged children, adolescents, teens, young adults, and their families. I am especially committed to helping members of my local community navigate
life’s challenges, build resilience, and create actionable goals for the future. I strive to create a
supportive and collaborative environment, partnering with individuals from all backgrounds as
they work toward personal growth and emotional well-being. I’m honored to walk alongside you
on your journey and look forward to supporting you as you grow, heal, and work toward becoming the best version of yourself.
