Hello! My name is Gardenia Garza Paul and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker
(License #68551). I am a wife, mother, and lover of all things artistic. I hold a master’s degree in
Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work with a
concentration in health and behavioral health. My experience includes over ten years of working
within the educational and healthcare realms.
I work with children and adults from diverse populations and from various backgrounds. This
includes specialized experience with Hispanic/Latinx immigrant populations; complex medical,
developmental, and behavioral diagnosis in pediatric populations; and substance use disorder in
maternal perinatal populations. Individuals I have worked with face various issues such as
anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma, recent immigration adjustment, school issues,
family conflict, abuse, domestic violence, addiction, grief, and loss.
My approach is client centered, trauma informed, and utilizes mindfulness, solution-focused,
and cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques. I am well aware that my clients are the experts of
their own experience. I seek to offer a space of unbiased, nonjudgmental objectivity. I want to
meet my clients where they are, offer a safe space to process all the twists and turns of life, and
help facilitate growth and empowerment towards the next chapter. Taking the initial step to start
therapy is incredibly brave and I look forward to walking alongside you in this new journey.
