Hello, my name is George Galindo and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate at Clearhope Counseling and Wellness. I have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University.
I am pursuing a career as a marriage and family therapist because of my passion and love for working alongside families and couples. My desire is to see couples and families work together to get through challenges together and come out stronger than ever. I truly believe that the right tools and skills can help any couple and family overcome all challenges. Models that I enjoy using include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Gottman and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I utilize Play therapy when working with school-age children.
Therapy can be intimidating, so my goal is to ensure that my sessions are welcoming and promote an environment that is open and calm. I also understand that sharing stories and being vulnerable can be difficult. Therefore, working with clients to develop a strong therapeutic relationship where there is trust between the client and myself is the most important step to success.
I have experience working with a wide range of clients from school-age children to senior citizens. I offer individual counseling services and couples and family services.
