Hello! My name is Clare Cochran, and I am a Master Level Graduate Intern obtaining a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I have been a public school teacher in Humble ISD for 10 years where I teach 8th grade language arts. When my students hear that I am becoming a counselor, they often say “you’ll make a great therapist.” If you know teenagers, that is high praise! I have personal and professional experience with children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum, with ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, anxiety, depression, academic struggles, and interpersonal conflicts. My expected graduation date is Fall 2025 with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In this internship, my Clearhope site supervisor is Ana Valenzuela, LPC-S, LCDC, NCC.
