Biography

Hello, My name is Bridgette Brown and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate supervised by Shanna Gardner- LPC-S. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Interdisciplinary Studies emphasis in Psychology, Sociology, and Human Development and Family Studies and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health from Grand Canyon University. Before becoming a counselor, I was an educator for 14 years.

I enjoy working with children, teens, and families as they navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, emotional and behavioral challenges, family difficulties, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Through approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, coping-skills development, psychoeducation, and strengths-based interventions, I help clients develop practical tools to better understand their emotions and manage the challenges they face. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.

My passion for mental health comes from wanting to help individuals recognize their strengths, work through difficult experiences, and realize that their past does not have to define their future. My goal is to meet you where you are and create a comfortable environment where you can be yourself. I believe in making therapy engaging, relatable, and age appropriate. I take time to build trust and connection because I know that meaningful progress begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. I look forward to working with you and believe there is always an opportunity to grow, heal, learn, and create a different future.
