Hi, my name is Amanda Boone and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Licensed #205229 . My desire is to help individuals, couples, and families facilitate hope as we work together through challenging seasons of life.

I have a Masters in Family Therapy from University of Houston Clear Lake. My experience includes working with those with anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. I am passionate about helping those who have been through trauma. I have experience working with couples where one or both have PTSD, and I specialize in how PTSD, depression, and anxiety affect personal relationships and family.

Before my career in counseling, I worked in the anti-trafficking field. My work in this area helped cultivate my passion for helping others walk through difficult situations. I have a heart for those who are hurting or struggling, whether that is from trauma, grief, loss, communication issues, or life transitions.

My therapeutic framework is eclectic, but therapeutic models I tend toward are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, all from a trauma-informed perspective. Everyone is different, so my approach to therapy is determined by each client’s individual needs.

Life can be really hard, and it is my goal to provide a safe space to work through these issues. I look forward to walking alongside you in this step of your journey.
