Ruth Newell, Chief Advancement Officer

As a seasoned fundraiser and strategic planner with 35 years’ experience developing high profile replicable programs and projects in alignment with national funding trends I assist Clearhope Counseling Center’s stellar team to build model programs and to increase revenue streams.

Prior to joining Clearhope Counseling, I served as Director of Grants and Development for Pasco-Hernando State College, Director of Development for Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger, and Chief Advancement Officer for the Urban Corps of San Diego County. I have led international teams in developing high-profile programs and projects and have developed the corresponding fundraising strategies. Over the course of my career, I have leveraged significant financing for a broad spectrum of innovative trend-setting initiatives.

I am a published feminist author, an edgy social commentator,  as well as an avid outdoor enthusiast, an amateur photographer with an eye for geology, ear for history, and a penchant for emotional and spiritual development. I am also a dharma travel writer.
