Biography
First and foremost, I would like to commend you on taking your first step towards healing. Life can sometimes be all-consuming. I’d like you to know that you are not alone! Whether it be anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress, trauma, etc., I am here to help you along your journey to mental wellness. I want you to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and happiness is within reach.
I have dedicated my life to the study and research of psychology and mental health and helping those in need while focusing on client autonomy and unconditional positive regard.
Credentials: I am currently working towards my licensure as an LPC Associate in Texas. As a student at The University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Clinical Mental Health counseling program, I am currently serving as treasurer of Chi Sigma Iota-The Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. I have successfully completed practicum at Into Action Recovery Centers(IARC)—A leading addiction and rehab center specializing in personalized treatment for substance abuse. I have also successfully completed practicum at The Bridge Over Troubled Waters—A non-profit organization and shelter that offers support and provides safety to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
I have a previous M.S. Degree in Psychology, in which I successfully completed a 1-year internship at Innovative Alternatives(IA)—A non-profit organization that offers mental health services to victims of violent crimes and trauma. During my undergraduate career I obtained a double bachelor’s in Psychology and Anthropology, with a certificate in Women’s Studies.
I have a sincere passion for helping those in need. I take a client-centered approach to therapy with a humanistic style, as I believe a holistic perspective to life’s troubles is best to find proper healing.
I look forward to helping you along your mental health journey!
