Greetings! My name is Kemi Sowunmi Donahue and I am thrilled to meet you!
My passion for counseling began in middle school and continues to this day. As your counselor, my goal is to be your encouraging cheerleader, especially when life feels hopeless. I am dedicated to helping my clients recognize and realize that despite life's hardships, they have a purpose and destiny worth pursuing. With my experience in crisis management, anxiety, stress management, and relationship conflict (both peer and family), I aim to equip you with the necessary tools to live a healthy life.

Currently, I am a school counselor and was previously a teacher for eleven years, specializing in education. I also taught a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) class, which ultimately inspired me to pursue a degree in counseling. This SEL class was structured like a small group, covering psychoeducational topics such as self-confidence, self-awareness, building healthy relationships, vision and goal planning, and skills to help adolescents market themselves in a global market.

I graduated from the University of Houston Victoria in 2021 with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health and a School Counselor certificate. I also hold a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University (2001 ) and a Master's degree in Criminology from the University of Houston Clear Lake in( 2007).

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults offering therapy for individuals and small groups. I believe the greatest gift one can give themselves is the investment in becoming a better and healthier version of oneself. I am ready to embark on this journey with you!
