I am an independently-licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who has provided couples, family, individual, and group counseling services since 2009. I earned my Master of Arts (M.A.) in Family Therapy from The University of Houston Clear Lake, and my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from The University of Houston.
My clinical approach encompasses continuous rapport-building & maintenance; active therapeutic collaboration; expressing sincere respect for clients; and dedication to the practice of therapy to the highest ethical and professional standards in order to help clients achieve their respective treatment goals.
Therapy modalities include, but are not limited to, family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, client-centered approaches, emotionally-focused couples’ therapy, and solution focused.
As a therapist, I help couples with communication and relationship difficulties; child, adolescent and young adults with behavioral issues and peer relationship problems; provide anger management to individuals and groups; family therapy to address family conflict resolution problems; and help clients overall develop and implement adaptive coping skills to reduce distress and promote healthy relationships.
Finally, on a personal note, I am a native-born Texan who enjoys green spaces, good restaurants, spending quality time with my family, and walking my dog, Coffee, who ironically is white. I have provided mental health services in Brazoria County and l look forward to seeing clients at Clearhope Counseling and Wellness Center in Sugarland, TX!
