Biography

Hi there! First off please take a moment and thank yourself for taking time to self-care/self-love! This first step is hard for many of us! So, great job and welcome! My name is Nina Lewis, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate. I graduated from University of Houston Clear Lake with my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health.
In my experience thus far, I have worked with diverse populations from various cultures, addressing a range of issues. This beautiful and enlightening experience inspired me to work with people who have been through difficult life experiences. My professional background includes working with individuals who are victims of sexual abuse, ADD/ADHD, procrastination, lack of motivation, depression, anger, feeling stuck, emotional dysregulation, and multicultural disparities.
My approach to counseling varies depending on the presenting concerns. I approach each client through a holistic approach, which embraces your physical, psychological, social and spiritual life experiences to guide you in meeting your goals.
I am sure you are wondering about my life experiences, let me give you a quick blurb. I have two grown children, both college graduates, and working towards attaining peace, love, and success. I am so very proud of them, and I definitely pat myself (and my ex) on the back for their life trajectory!
I live everyday learning something new and forgiving myself for the days I don’t and the days I’m too hard on myself. I have learned that life gives us a new start daily and that if we do not learn from mistakes, we will eventually run back into them. I’ve also lived by the Serenity Prayer, if you don't know it please look it up!
Again, I am so proud of you for taking this step. May it be the first or the 100th, good job and keep going!
