Biography
I am convinced I have been prepared and commissioned through God’s divine interventions in my life to enact his plan for me, which is to help guide others to see, feel, and receive his love for them, and with that, gained confidence that comes through love, they may in turn fulfill the plans he has for them. I have had the privilege to work for the past 20 years as a public school educator and counselor.
I have witnessed first hand the impact of having someone believe in you and through their support positive change occurs. While teaching young minds I developed the passion to help students with their social-emotional well-being so I became a school counselor. During my leadership position I saw a need to focus on mental health and social and emotional education which motivated me to pursue a doctorate. I wanted to identify the factors that contribute to an individual's resilience to overcome barriers so that I may help others replicate and apply the strategies in their lives.
Throughout my career I have promoted and supported success by responding to the individual's specific social and emotional needs through supportive opportunities to create change to their
psychological well-being. I welcome the privilege and opportunity to continue doing this powerful work.
Dr. Gonzalez-Harmon’s immeasurable educational background, in multiple school districts, contributes to finding ways to support mental health and social and emotional well being for all.
