Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the state of Texas (#76802). I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in 2009 and a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Houston - Clear Lake in 2016. I have been working in private practice for the last two years, however, I have worked in the mental health field since 2009 in various settings including residential treatment facilities, Child Protective Services, domestic violence shelters, community mental health agencies, and the criminal justice system. I have experience working with men, women, children, teens, couples, and families with a variety of issues including intimate partner violence, child abuse, behavioral concerns, developmental disabilities, legal issues, grief, crisis, and substance abuse.
I have a passion for helping others navigate their way through life’s ups and downs and helping them build the skills needed to cope with the issues that may be causing problems in their life. I will work to ensure a feeling of safety, non-judgment, and acceptance during all sessions. I would describe myself as a person-centered therapist who takes a unique approach to each client and works hard to ensure their experience in therapy is one that will bring them peace and encouragement to move forward in a positive direction. My approach to therapy is person-centered and I have experience in various types of therapy styles. I consider each of my clients as a partner in the therapeutic relationship and will work with you to find the best approach to fit your needs.
