Tara has lived and worked in the Pasadena Community for over 20 years and is passionate about giving
back to her community. She received her bachelor’s in psychology from Southern Nazarene University
and her Master of Education in School Counseling with a certification in Clinical and Mental Health
Counseling from Lamar University. She is currently a Middle School Counselor in Pasadena and is an
LPC-A under the supervision of Kim McGough, LPC-S.

There are times in our lives when we may experience major life changes or stressors and at times even
traumatic experiences. During these times we may feel like there is no hope and that our world is falling
to pieces, but my passion is to give you hope and strategies to help guide you through these times and
help you have a better future through learning your gifts, strengths, and problem-solving skills.

Working with children, adolescents, pre-teens, teens, and adults is a passion of mine. I have worked for
many years with those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, school issues, relationship
issues, and grief/loss. My hope is to help my clients develop lifelong skills that will help promote
positive and long-lasting changes to their lives.
