Biography

Welcome. I'm Talia, a Master's-level Graduate Clinician. I have an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Clark-Atlanta University and am pursuing a graduate degree in Mental
Health Counseling at Saybrook University. I am under the supervision of Ana Valenzuela, MS,
LPC-S, NCC, LCDC, CTRP-C.
At the core of my approach is a belief in the transformative power of recognizing that "you are
not your story" This unique perspective allows us to understand our experiences, behavioral
patterns, and adaptive strategies, and begin to rewrite our story from a place of empowerment
and authenticity.
I am deeply committed to helping clients transcend the limitations of their past experiences. I
believe that by challenging self-limiting beliefs and cultivating a deeper understanding of
themselves, individuals can create new, empowering narratives for their lives.
My approach is unique. It blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational-Cultural
Theory (RCT), and other theoretical principles in an eclectic approach, along with spiritual insight and compassionate support. This comprehensive approach is designed to help you understand and transform relationship dynamics. Whether romantic relationships, family dynamics, friendships, professional connections, or your relationship with yourself, I provide a supportive space to explore challenges, uncover underlying patterns, and develop healthier strategies.
Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation. This will
allow you to reclaim your power, trust your inner wisdom, rewrite your story with courage and
compassion, and navigate life's complexities confidently and authentically.
