Licensed Master Social Worker
Hello, my name is Toyin Adesina and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in Texas and New York. I obtained my MSW from Hunter College School of School Work in New York. I am currently practicing as a therapist associate for Clearhope Counseling and Wellness Center, Sugar Land office, and working within Fort Bend ISD as a School-Based Therapist. I am supervised by Melba Tatum, LCSW.
I have over 12 years of experience in providing treatment services to young children, adolescents, and adults. I began my social work career as a forensic social worker, advocating for children who experienced significant trauma and abuse. I have since expanded my expertise to help adults who are struggling with life challenges related to childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, child welfare issues and family relationships.
My work experience and skills have prepared me to have an in depth understanding of the challenges associated with children, youth and family circumstances. My eclectic approach is tailored to the specific needs of each individual and situation. I am guided by motivational interviewing, mindful meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy. My passion has always been to ensure that my client feels valued and that their voice is heard.
Congratulations on taking a new step on your journey. I look forward to meeting you!
