My name is Andrea Sanchez and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #73800) in the state of Texas. I am Latina and proud of my Mexican roots. ¡También hablo español!

I am an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained therapist and I have worked extensively with clients who have experienced a wide variety of trauma, including physical, sexual assault, or emotional abuse as an adult and/or in childhood. Additionally, my experience includes helping clients who have struggled with issues such as anxiety, depression,
self-esteem, shame, grief and loss, relationship issues, and post-traumatic stress. I draw from several modalities, such as:  mindfulness, cognitive processing therapy, expressive arts therapy, experiential therapy, somatic experiencing, and ego state therapy.

 

As a counselor, I believe in creating an integrative and holistic approach that welcomes all parts of you. I invite you to trust the process by opening yourself to vulnerability and sharing your core wounds, fears, and longings. Together, we will work on addressing the hurts in your life and connecting you with your inner-self to find true healing.  I strongly believe in self-care, and in my spare time, I enjoy photography, experimenting with
new recipes from YouTube, and spending time with my family and friends. I also love traveling and learning all about new cultures through food and art.
